My Dad started building his Mark V 20, so the shop is getting a bit crowded.

In the forground is my jig for laminating the cabin roof beams. They are made with 4 layers of 1/2" plywood, cut from the plywood that was left over from the hull sides.
The sides for the centerboard trunk are 3/4" plywood. The inside of the trunk will be 3 1/2" wide for access. Battens will be glued inside the trunk so the 1 1/2" centerboard will be snug. The centerboard pivot pin will be above the waterline.

The laminated roof beams were used to mark and cut the cabin posts to the correct hight. Notches were cut and the side stringers were glued in.

I made temporary supports with two-by-fours, and then the roof beams were cut to length and glued in place.
